FPV and Motorsports are a match made in heaven. The dynamic style of FPV shooting matches with the fast pace of race cars, motor bikes or rally cars.

Worlds Fastest Camera Drone Together with Red Bull, we’ve developed the RBD1 drone, specifically to capture shots of F1 cars at full speed. The project culminated in filming Max Verstappen around Silverstone in 1 single take; not just a worlds-first in terms of speed, but also battery life and signal range. Meanwhile, we’ve used the RBD1 for many other projects; from MotoGP to Wingsuit pilots to WRC, as this unique drone is capable of reaching speeds and distances no other drone can.

Dynamic closeup shots No matter which camera you want to use, GoPro, BMPC4k, Komodo-x, or other cameras, our fast FPV drones capture motorsports action like no-other. These types of drones are not just fast, they are mainly very agile and can change direction on a dime. They can reach between 150kph to 270kph depending on the specific drone model, but the power to create killer shots lies mostly with the pilot being able to smoothly capture the action. This is not something just any pilot can do, but requires many years of experience to do properly. The pilots have to keep many things in mind while capturing motorsports shots at these speeds; smooth lines, good framing, anticipation of movements, creativity in shots and safety for all involved, all while potentially listening to a (ivestream-)director as well. Just like with professional race drivers, the best drone pilots are the ones that can fly the drone so much on muscle memory and by feel, that there is a big portion of briainpower and concentration left to think about all the other aspects.
